Okay, I just need to vent about this because I am a big whiner. Our kids are crazy sleepers. If any of you think you have bad sleepers, I think we have you beat. Our little Karly takes after her Daddy and he is a non-sleeper. They just don't need or think they need a whole lot of sleep. Luke's parents have memories of Luke as a small child just never wanting to sleep. I hope I'm telling correct info here. From what I've heard he would stay up all hours of the night. He would also be the first one up. He would get dressed, put on his cowboy boots and go wake-up his Dad to feed their cows.
Well, Karly's very much the same way. She's up all hours of the night. Sometimes she wakes up in the middle of the night thinking it's morning and insists she is fully rested. It is beyond frustrating especially when you have a new born and you are up with them 3-5 times a night.
Last night was a prime example of what happens a few times a week. I had just put Noah down after a 4am feeding and I heard someone in the bathroom. Luke is out of town, so it obviously wasn't him. I figured/hoped it was Karly just taking a quick potty break. Half an hour later I was awoken by giggling. Sure enough Spence and Karly where having a book party in the bathroom. Karly has school first thing in the morning, so I was very frustrated. I told them to go to bed. I went back to sleep, hoping that was the end of it. At 5:55 Noah was up again wanting to eat and I heard giggling again. Sure enough the kids are right back in the bathroom. I shewed them back to their room, and the alarm went off just half an hour later. It sure makes for a very short night, and a really crabby Momma the next day. So basically Karly got up at 4 am for school this morning. Yes, our kids are crazy. Hopefully, we will figure this out some day before it kills us.

Yikes! I would be crabby too. Especially when you are feeding a newborn. You just get to sleep and someone else is waking you up. So frustrating! Good luck with that.
I'm so thankful for good sleepers!!! Sorry for you though. Hope you get an extremely long nap most days.
Oh my gosh! How do you stay so calm and collected? I would be crying...a LOT!
I would put an outside lock on their door! LOL Okay maybe that is mean. I'm kidding...sort of.
Wow, Jenn, how are you surviving?! And I thought I had it bad! All I can think to say is "hang in there" and I know that doesn't help one bit.
Sorry about the sleeping thing. Maybe some day you can tell their spouses all about it.
Thanks for your blog about your courtship with Luke. It was really fun to read from a mom's point of view. I remember when he called to tell us you were engaged. We were at Thanksgiving Point on a trip to Utah. I was so excited. He was the first one of the kids to get engaged. I especially enjoyed getting to know you when we got back.
Yikes!!! Not fun. I can't believe Spence and Karly were up so early, and so happy about it! That's nuts. I hope, for your sake, they can get a grasp on this whole sleeping thing because it really is wonderful.
