We've had quite the weekend playing pet sitter to my sister's dog Ned this weekend. No offense to animal lovers out there, but neither Luke nor I are big fans of animals. Our kids on the other hand are some how born of a different breed. They are animal LOVERS. Karly won't even kill a spider in her room because she says it's one of God's creatures. She definitely has not learned that from me. Anyways, surprisingly the weekend has gone fairly well. We've mostly kept him in our basement so the smell and hairs haven't really gotten to Luke or I. Plus the kids have had a BALL. I'm afraid we might not be able to pull off the pet free home much longer.

Get a Shitzu (sp?) dog. They have hair like humans so those of us whom have alergies can have a dog. They do not shed. We gave ours away and are actually going to get it back with one of her puppies that she is having.

Don't get a dog if YOU don't love one or a cat, or a fish even. Because, remember Valentine? Remember? Cats live like 15 years! I even ran over her and she is totally fine. Just sayin.
Matt and I are not the hugest animal lovers either. When our kiddos started begging for a pet we decided on a cat. Mostly because they lick themselves clean and don't need daily walks. Lazy of us, I know! She has been pretty easy to take care of, but really; cats are not near as playful as dogs. Good luck with that one:0)
Jenn you are gorgeous! I hope I look as good poising on the porch with my cute kids someday. You have to share all your secrets.
As for the dog - I myself am not a lover but Jace and Mark both do.
we pet sitted for 2 weeks @ christmas and it went better than i expected but not enough for me to want to actually get a dog. are you kidding? i have kids to take care of. : )my daughter still begs me everyday
