Kar tried out for her school's talent show yesterday, and it was a sweet moment for me as a parent. Kar sang "Give said the little stream". Which is a primary song she's been singing for years about giving to others. I was surprised to find myself fighting back the tears from the moment she stepped in front of the judges. I was just so happy to see her so comfortable in her own skin, especially in that kind of situation. She has a confidence I NEVER had as a child or even as an adult. I'm so happy for her. After her try out another Mom who had seen her sing made the comment "That was very sweet. She almost made me cry and she's not even my kin." (Can you tell we live in the South?) We're not sure if she made it or not, but either way I'm proud of her performance. It definitely was a memorable experience for me.

Karly I love that song. Do you think your mom can record you singing it and post it on your blog so I can hear you sing it? You are so cool.
That's so cute Jenn!! I hope she makes it in the show. That takes a lot of guts to try out for something like that. Go Karly!! She should sing that at her baptism. =)
Karly, I'm so proud of you and so is Granpa. I hope I can come to your baptism and maybe you can sing it for me then. OK?
