Who needs a big boy bed???

Who needs a big boy bed when you have a closet?

Noah graduated to a big boy bed this week. We've had a WILD ride with our Noah ever since he learned how to climb out of his crib 6 months ago. It all started when we had to start locking him in his room at night because he was getting up almost every hour. After he learned how to unlock his door we started using rope to tie his door shut. A good friend gave us the great idea of turning his lock around. This one has been a life saver. Thank you Bake's. :) Our little guy continues to get up all hours of the night, but out of pure survival for our sleep he spends his late night hours by himself locked in his room, doing who knows what. What kind of parents are we?! This is where we found him this morning.

Oh my goodness, that is hilarious. What a perfect little spot to lay down and take a little nap. Wow. We had the hardest time with Sitani at that age. Finally, he just started sleeping in his bed. I went crazy, though. I even tried a fence and he would crawl over it or under it. Hahaha, have fun with that one. Maybe if you let him sleep by the bathroom door with the light and fan. That is what Will used to do.

Ha! We had issues with Rylie at that age. We tried everything to get her to stay in bed. We resorted to bungee cords to keep her door closed. What really worked though was asking her if she wanted the door open or closed. The rules for keeping the door open is she had to stay in bed. If she got out of bed she earned the door half way closed and if she did it again she earned the door all the way closed. The threat of that door being all the way closed was enough for her to choose to stay in bed. I just did this with Ivy the other night and it worked wonders.Good luck with that one!

That's funny! Kader has had the freedom the last six months too. Luckily for us he only has a few nights were he coming like at 4 or 5. Other than that he has been sleeping great in his bed.

hilarious!
Avery has realized (finally!) that she can get out of bed too. Oh well...she doesn't do it at night though thank goodness. Just as soon as she hears the slightest nose bright and early in the morning. Gone are the days of her sleeping in until 10!! :)
And, no...you aren't bad parents, just tired ones. I'm going to call you soon...
