I heart Portland!

I have always loved down town Portland. I love the natural beauty, the culture, the weather in Summer (and only Summer :) ), the people, the food. I just love the feel of it. I really wanted our kids to get a little taste of one of our favorite cities. Our kids really haven't spent much time down town so the day before we left we took a walk on the water front. Spence felt a little nervous most of the time. I think he was worried about being so close to the water. He kept saying "Can we go home now?"
Kar loved looking at all the parked boats. The artsy girl that she is I think she was really digging the vibe. :) There was someone playing the bag pipes (very random, but very Portland) in the park and she was dieing to go listen to them.
Noah the new talker that he is, couldn't keep his mouth shut. He let us know everything he would see. "DUCKS!! DUCKS!!"..."BOAT!! BOAT!!".... "WATER!! WATER!!" He wouldn't stop unless we acknowledged what he said. A little loud, but very cute. :)

The boys on the docks. "DUCKS!!! DUCKS!!!"

We stopped by Hayley's grave one more time before we left.

Most of the Adults had an evening out . It was so much fun. We went to The Douglas Fir Lounge to listen to live Indy Bands and drank $2 bottomless sodas all night. I LOVED it. It was fun to just hang with my family.

Angela and Mike. Congrats to them! We all found out they are expecting this visit. Angela was pretty pooped.

Some of the gang at Pioneer Place for a little window shopping and Ice cream.

Cody and Parker looking cool. :) Funny boys.

Mike looking kind of cool. :)

Our trip was a blast. A little spontaneous on our part, but well worth it!

Looks like you had a fun time, too! My parents live in Hillsboro now, by the stake center. They love it there...and I wish they'd had EFY when I was a teen. I would have done me some good!
