A day in D.C.

Luke has been waiting years for the kids to be old enough to take advantage of our flight benefits. With Kar old enough to endure and appreciate a fun day trip Luke planned a day in Washington D.C. They were both so excited. They got up at 5 am and were in D.C. by 9.

Kar really enjoyed all the museums (The Smithsonians). One of her favorites was the National Art Gallery.

I guess Kar got a kick out of feeding the squirrels.

The Washington Monument.

These pictures were from the National Museum of American History.

This was a doll house Kar fell in love with.

The Capital Building

The White House

They did a lot of walking. I think it was a full day. They made it home around midnight. It was a memorable day for both of them.
The picture above was of Karly at take off. Having fun can sure wear ya out.

How cool is that. I bet that not too many other 7 year olds get to fly to DC for a day with their dad.

How fun - a daddy/daughter day! That seriously looked like a hoot! And that doll house - are you kidding me? I LOVED THAT.

How cool that you guys can just take off on trips like that.
