Just a few birthday pics (okay more then a few)

It was a full day of celebrating in the Thomas home today. Because of parents (okay me) who are just as excited about the kid's birthday gifts as they are, we open our presents first thing in the morning. Here's Spence showing us how old he is. Can you tell it's his first time?!

Unfortunately, Luke is out of town so he participated via the phone.

Spencey opening his gifts. He got a scooter, a hot wheel race car, a lunch box, and a party next Friday with his friends and Uncle Mark and Aunt Laura. (who will be visiting from Utah, we are sooooo excited)

Noah enjoyed the Christmas wrapping. :)

We try to see how many times we can sing Happy Birthday to our kids on there Birthday. This was number two.

Spence said he wanted chocolate-chip pancakes for his birthday breakfast.

The new scooter

Birthday song number three. We had the Rose's over for cake . (jello cake, my new addiction) If you haven't had one yet you are missing out. It's the perfect Summer cake. I got the recipe from a friend in Arkansas and I have been in love ever since. Thanks Rachel!

Spence claimed his piece. Some how his fingers/chin made it into the cake during the pre-cutting of the cake.
Can you tell how excited he was for his slice?!

Kar showing her little home made gift for Spence. Don't worry Mom and Dad she's not giving away your Shark Tales movie. It just means she's actually willing to watch the next movie party. :)

Cheers!

Noah was really hoping for a slice of the cake. Sorry buddy, maybe next year!

The kids had to take their scooters out for a spin.

I thought this was a mature look for Spence. Look at that big three year old!

It's hard being a three year old. By the end of the day Spence was all tuckered out.

It's the big 3!

Three years ago last night we (okay mostly me) were a bundle of nerves anticipating the birth of Spence. It had only been a month and a half after loosing Hayley that we found out we were pregnant with him. We felt like he was a miracle and God sent yet at the same time praying all would go smoothly with this next pregnancy. His pregnancy taught us a lot about faith and hope. All though you may of never guessed because I was such a mess through it all. After a nerve racking 9 months we felt so blessed to deliver a farly healthy baby boy. He only had to spend a week in the NICU. Since then Spence has been such a joy full/ crazy/ silly addition to our home. We are beyond grateful for our colorful Spencanatur.
