I give up..

This was my attempt to take new family pictures on my own. Honestly, I don't know how the pro's do it. I have about 50 or more pictures that look about the same. It really was a variety of things I was battling with. It was Kar doing this weird squinty thing with her nose, and Spence just wanted to do his own thing, and Noah just really needed a nap. I've learned my lesson , next time I'm leaving it to the professionals.

I love the crinkly nose! Love Spencer's "own thing". You'll look at these later and think - "these are the best"!

Great attempt! When Sophia was Karly's age she had a weird face she would do in pictures too. She would tuck her top lip over her front teeth and then smile. All of our pics of our trip to Nauvoo are with her like that. So silly!

They are so cute!!! I love the matching shirts. I can't believe how big they are especially Noah. Last time I saw him I think he was like 3 weeks old. Cute kids! Don't let them forget Auntie Gracie

James and I have tried taking good pictures together but have found it easier to just to silly pictures. I would love a professional to take our pictures sometime. That is why I scheduled our family photo shoot with Kristi during Christmas break. heheheh

I think you pictures are great. Dalynn is right you will like these pictures the best, latter on.

Jenn, try next time to do it in the evening or early morning when the sun isn't so bright. Then also just have them playing next to each other. Then call their name real quick to get them all to look up. The more candid shots are better, my point of view of course.

Also try some balloons...they make the kids interested in something other than you and they make for great pics too.

But these pictures are sooo them. I love it!!!!!!!! That is their personalities coming out!!!

No professional could capture that cuteness! They are growing up so fast! I can't believe Noah especially!

I like Noah's shoeless look. I also really like the matching shirts on the boys.

Good job supermom. They are awesome because they reflect their personalities especially the crinkly cute noses. I love the shirts too. These kids are just so funny with their candids.

You were just going for the candid look right? I know exactly how you feel....everytime I envision this perfect fam pic....I am so disappointed by the outcome. Good thing Wal-Mart has some pkgs for $8. YEAH WAL-MART!

Oh the joys of trying to get a good family photo. Do you ever wonder how our parents did it with 6 and 9 kids?! Actually, now that I think of it I'm pretty sure Reed made a funny face in every family picture we ever had taken. Some day you'll look back and think it's funny. At least that's what I tell myself.

The kiddos look adorable. Noah sure does look like he needs a nap! :)

Jenn- Don't beat your self up...at least you TRIED! I gave up on a good picture of the kids that is scheduled a long time ago...they just don't do the same for me. Now if Dad is there..that is a whole different story!! He can make them smile so easily...so that is my tip...you take the pic...while someone else...like Dad gets their attention and makes them smile!! I think the pics are very cute though!! I am glad we will see you soon! It will be fun to see your cute family...you should bring the kids over to play while you are here! It will be fun to catch up a bit!!

I personally think the photogragher did an amazing job! She must be a professional. :)
You kids always look good even when they aren't looking at the camera.

Just getting them all dressed and in one place is pretty amazing, I didn't even get that far last time I tried.

By the way great choice of outfits I love the colors. Your kids are so cute!
