Okay, I just need to brag a little while giving an update on Luke's training to anyone who cares to know. Luke took his
written exam last Friday and got a 100%. Yes, he's a smart man and I'm very proud of him. Three weeks down and only three more to go. We are half way to becoming an official
Captain. His next big test is next
Saturday. It's an oral exam and he says he's more nervous about this test then he was about the written. I'm sure he will do fine. Get ready to call him Captain Thomas. :)

Just make sure he knows I will only salute him if he starts wearing a tie with his uniform!
We're also very proud of him. Yes, he's smart... look who he married. I love this picture of him. Maybe it's the smile but the uniform doesn't hurt either. We are way excited to see him this coming weekend. Thanks, Jenn for keeping us updated. You're the best!!!
Luke, you're welcome to come take my midterms for me. I don't think i have ever gotten a 100% on a test. Good job. Captain.
PS I've been meaning to e-mail you about traveling this summer. I'll get around to doing that sometime this week. We love you!
Way to go there smarty. Can't wait to call you Captain.
Luke,
I know you are smart. You always have been and you always will be. Congrats on your 100%.
That being said, I don't know how I feel about buckling myself into the backseat of a 747 while you throttle 3/4 million pounds of steel down a drag strip at 200mph and somehow get us 35,000 feet above ground, only to have us come crashing back onto the tarmac or one on the otherside of the U.S.
This might have to do with the fact of being the younger brother and always sitting behind you, arms clamped around your waist as you "piloted" whatever vehichle it was we were riding whether it was the 3-wheeler, motorcycle, horse, bull, tractor, etc... It seemed we always ended up upside down and in a ditch with said vehichle either on top of us or no where in sight.
Maybe I will require counseling/theraphy or something similar first before joining you as navigator on your new vehichle.
It's probably a good thing I don't know all my pilots as good as I know you.
P.S. Thanks for all the fun adventures and great memories.
Thought you would enjoy this if you haven't already seen it.

Your uncle Kevin is the official cryer in our family but Will's comment - while I'm sure it was meant to be funny - just made me cry!!! I will have to keep it away from my husband or he will shed an ocean of tears!!!
Anyway, we are soo proud of you Luke and I just love reading Jenn's blog and watching your kids grow. They are just adorable! Also, I LOVE the songs in your Playlist!!! We love you guys!!
Hey there! Don't you love that feeling of seeing your husband succeed. It makes all the sacrifices and struggles seem worth it, I know this is a joint effort, you are such a great support. The blog you went to was Amy Mccumber's, now Amy Berg, her sisters are Rhonda and Samantha. I guess she said Becki and RHonda were really good friends growing up, she grew up in your stake. Did you see yourself in that picture? CUTE! You looked so little. Your kiddos are taking after their super cute mama!
Kudos!
Hey guys! Wahoo! way to go Luke! We think about you often! We miss you. Love your blog! AJ and Sarah
