Kar's two day bash

Okay, again this is our scrapbook so there is a whole lot of pictures. So, sorry if you get all pictured out.
Kar had a two day birthday bash! How fun is that?! Yesterday we came to her school and had lunch with her and her class. We brought cupcakes to share. Remember those days?! Some of us Summer birthdays don't have a whole lot of memories doing this. I think I had a couple nice teachers who let us make up a birthday day so we could bring a treat to my class. Now that I think about it that's pretty funny. Anyways, I'm not about to have Kar miss out on that tradition.
After school we had our friend's down the street come over and had a mini celebration. We had pizza and ice cream. Yummy!

In our home we celebrate Christmas all year long. That explains the wrapping paper.

Kar with her birthday stash.

The real celebration took place today. Kar had a few of her little girl friends over for a cake decorating party. It was so cute. The girls each did such a great job decorating their cakes. They even had matching aprons.

Now before I go any further. I need to mention the entire party idea came from my incredibly creative cousin Heather. Thanks so much Heather for the cake pans, and apron pattern. It all turned out so fun!

Aunt Kat even came. She sure adds a lot to a party.

For those of you wondering yes that fan says "I'm a fan of Jesus" . They were a big hit and a big accident too. I just thought it was a rainbow fan. So lucky us. We are fans of Jesus and we're not ashamed to show it.

I'm so frustrated my flash wouldn't work for this picture. The girls looked so cute in their matching aprons.

Kar saying good bye to her friend Haley.

This was when we were taking Kar's friend Lauren home. I love Kar's mysterious look. She was really feeling the fans.

I just had to get one good close-up. Yes we do live in the South and are proud of it!

It was a fun two day bash. Can't wait for next year!

Thank you so much for sharing. I love all the pictures. I just love seeing how big Kar is getting. I think the aprons are so cute. And I love the fan. I would totally dig a cool fan like that any day.

By the way, I'm looking at the picture of you, Luke and Karly when she was little and you look so good. I love how your hair is blowing too. You look like a super star. hot stuff.

Okay... that was the cutest idea ever. I can't wait until Marley gets bigger and we can all decorate cakes and wear matching aprons. Way to go..#1 mom. I always love reading your blog. I love the christmas wrapping paper and Jesus fans. I totally laughed and then I got to your older pic from when Karly was younger and started crying. I can't believe how fast kids grow up. She is growing into this lively, hilarious, beautifully creative girl. It is crazy to look back on the past few years and think of all that you guys have been through. You and Luke are such good parents and just keep plugging on. Once again I love your blog and I love hearing and seeing all the fun stuff.

I love the fans! I keep forgetting how close Kar and Nate's birthdays are. And the Laynie and Noah are only a few weeks apart right? That's crazy. Glad to see Karly had such a great birthday- cause she's got such a great mom!

I'm a fan of Jesus too!! I just prefer not to be so flashy about it!! That is the cutest little party. I wish Cooper could have been invited so he could have gotten a really cute apron hand-sewn by a really cool and talented lady. Sheesh! Who does that? Good job! Looks like you guys had fun, lucky Kar!

How fun! I love the cupcake tower..I did that for a friends baby-shower as the centerpiece of the table and it was a big hit. Um..one question..is that Christmas wrapping paper?? haha

I love the aprons! The fabric is adorable. Funny--I used to not notice all that as much, but now maybe I can do that kind of a party in 6 years! (Even though Superheroes, cars, etc are still fun).

Funny that you mention it because i'm a huge fan of Jesus to! Maybe we should be friends:0) What a fun birthday for Karly! I love the lunch in the classroom idea. In our school they don't want to take away from learning time, so they get to fill out a "poster about me" and share it with the class and then a little hampster sings them Happy Birthday.

O how fun! I can remember when she was born because I hit my head on the ceiling because I was so excited ( random thought) But anyway! Happy Birthday Kar!
