The Christmas Eve Extravaganza!
It truly was a Christmas Eve Extravaganza! We spent the evening at my sister, Kat's home. We made beaded candy canes.(just like the ones we made growing up in the Haroldsen home. It was a blast from the past!) Then we had homemade scones and hot chocolate. After filling our bellies we sat around the fireplace and read 3rd Nephi Chapter 1. We decided to shake it up this year and read about what was going on in the Americas at Christ's birth. Surprisingly the kids sat reverently through the entire reading. It was great! After we tried to focuss on the true meaning of Christmas we ended the night with a mini man dance party. All the kids took turns. You can see for your self what a mini man dance is on the last post. It was a great night.
Here's the kids making beaded candy canes.
Karly LOVED making these.
Scripture reading time
Ned (Kat & Rick's dog) even enjoyed the reading.
Karly's Mini Man Dance
Luke downloaded this fun dance Karly and he did on Christmas Eve at my sister Kat's home. It was a great Chritmas Eve. It's so nice to live near family once again.
