The Thomas Five!

We are thrilled to be the Thomas five now. Noah joined us August 18th, weighing in at 5lbs 5 ounces 18 inches long. Yes, he was a little squirt. Unfortunatly he had to be taken a month early. We were trying to wait it out, but it just didn't happen. I was having placenta failure . After a week in the hospital on heavy bed rest our Doctor decided to go ahead and take him.

He almost immediatly had problems breathing so they gave him oxygen and transported him to a different hospital so he could be treated in a NICU. He was our first family member to ever have a ride in a ambulance and hopefully the last. Yes, we did almost have a nervous breakdown.

Here's a picture of poor Noah with all his attachments. He spent two weeks in the NICU. The kids were such troopers. They spent those weeks with Grandma Haroldsen. Thank goodness for family. We don't know what we would do with out them.
Here's Noah towards the end of his stay. The last tube to be removed was his feeding tube. That was a great day! We are so grateful for the sweet addition he is to our family.

Birthday time!

Yes, it's really embarrassing how bad we are or I am (Jenn) at updating our blog. So, I have decided that one of my New Year's resolutions is to do better with our blog. So, I'm going to take baby steps. This blog I think I'll start with a small recap of our kids Birthdays this last year.

In March Karly had her 5th birthday. She originally wanted to have her party at a park, but last minute due to rain we had to switch it to Chuckie Cheese. Karly was a little disappointed, shocking I know. What kid would not love to have a party at Chuckie Cheese. I guess my daughter that's who. She did end up having a good time though. Most of her friends were able to make it and she even got a hug from Chuckie him self.

Spencer's birthday was the following month. He turned two. We played it low key for his B-day. We had a picnic at a park. Then he opened a present from Grandma and Grandpa Thomas. It was his first remote control car. He loved it! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! That evening we had cupcakes and blew out candles. It was a great day.
